Notes - MRS. JACOB BAUER
Mrs. Jacob Bauer passed away last Saturday, June 7th, at the farm home west of town, after suffering for some time from chronic Bright's disease. She was brought to the Odebolt hospital a few weeks ago for treatment, but to no avail, and previous to her death, she was removed to her home.
Mrs. Bauer, whose maiden name was Sophia Theis, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Theis, Sr., and was born September 9, 1865, in Chicago, Ill., being at the time of her death 54 years, 3 months and 2 days old. Since her marriage to Jacob. Bauer, they have re- sided continually on the farm near Arthur, where she passed away.
Besides her husband, she leaves one daughter and six sons to mourn her departure, namely, Mary, John, Jacob, Nicholas, Joseph, Peter, who is in the Army of Occupation, and Albert; five sisters, Mrs. Joseph Konradi, Mrs. John Konradi, Eleanor and Regina Thies, and Sister Julia, who is attending a convent; and four brothers, Nicholas, Joseph, John and Peter Thies.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved husband and children and other relatives, in this, their dark hour of Sorrow.
