Funeral services for Milton A Paul of Odebolt were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 17, 1996 at the First Presbyterian Church in Odebolt. Burial was in the Odebolt Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Bulger was the clergy.
Milton Arthur Paul from Odebolt, Iowa was born March 29, 1910 in Odebolt, Iowa; the son of Allie J. and Edith M. (Sheldon) Paul. He received his education and attended Odebolt High School. On April 25, 1929 he was united in marriage to Lola I. Sonksen in Council Bluffs. They lived in Odebolt until 1944 when they moved to Traer, Iowa. Milton farmed at Odebolt and at Traer, moving back to Odebolt in 1961 when he and Lola built their home.
Milton was instrumental in getting the Colonial Manor started, and a member of the Odebolt Presbyterian Church. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, traveling, and staying current with agriculture business.
On June 13, 1996, Milton passed away at his home at the age of 86.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter: Wanda Wieck; two brothers: Verne and Archie; and two sisters: Amy Mauer and Winnie Scanlan.
He is survived by his wife: Lola; daughter: Betty and her husband Don Buchanan of San Luis Obisto, Calfornia; son: Tom and his wife Laura of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; son-in-law: Rudy Wieck of Traer; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and two sisters: Grace Paul and Thelma Sonksen, both of Odebolt.
Farber and Otteman Funeral Home of Odebolt was in charge of the arrangements.
