      Death of Former Resident.
      A message Saturday to the daughters, Mrs. A. J. Paul and Mrs. Will Story brought to them the sad news of the death of their father, Charles F. Sheldon, who passed away suddenly at his home at Texhoma, Okla., a t 2:15 o'clock Saturday morning. The message was a severe shock to the daughters, inasmuch as they had no intimation of his serious illness, although they had known that he had not been in the best of health for a few months past. The remains were brought here for burial, accompanied by the bereaved wife and four sons, Ned and Claire of Texhoma, Wayne and Harley of Pride, Colo., arriving on the 9:30 train yesterday morning. The funeral will be held at 2:00 o'clock this afternoon a t the Methodist church, and will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. F. F. Travis. Charley Field Sheldon was born near Cleveland, Ohio, February S, 1850. At the age of six years he moved with his parents to Linn county, this state, where he grew to manhood. December 4,1872, he was united in marriage with Miss Nettie Coquillette, they continued to reside in that county until 1877, when they moved to Sac county, settling in Wheeler township, south of Odebolt, residing there for 24 years. In 1900 they moved to Garfield county, Okla., and six years later moved to Texliomn, where they have since resided. Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs, Sheldon, three of whom, Arthur, Gladys and Mark died in childhood. He-is survived by his wife and seven children, two daughters and five sons, namely; Raymond C. of Lake Park, .Mrs. Edith Paul of Odebolt, Ned of Texhoma, Mrs. Grace Story of Odebolt, J. Wayne and Harley E. of Pride, Colo., and Claire E. of Texhoma. Raymond and wife of Lake Park and Mr. Sheldon's "only surviving brother, A. E. Sheldon of Hyannis, Nebr., arc here for the funeral. Mr. Sheldon united with the church early in life, and has always been un earnest and faithful Christian worker, in the Sabbath school and church. He was devoted to his family and even in deepest trouble, kept a cheerful countenance. His first thought was for the welfare of his family, and where eyer he lived he always gained the highest esteem of his neighbors. His friends were numbered by his acquaintances. The sorrowing family have the sympathy of their old friends in this sad bereavement.

      Charles F. Sheldon, born 1850 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of William and Nancy (Rollins) Sheldon, married in 1872 to Janette Coquillette, born 1853, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Coquillette of Franklinville, Illinois.
      Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sheldon moved from Prairieburg, Iowa, to a farm southwest of Odebolt, Iowa, 1876 or 1877.
      They were parents of Raymond married Cora Mead; Arthur; Edith (Mrs. Allie Paul); Edward; Grace (Mrs. Will Story); Wayne; Gladys died in infancy; Mark died in infancy; Harley; and Claire. Edith under Paul history and Grace under Story history.
