    • Mrs. Nettie E. Shelden, whose death occurred Wednesday, June 26, at the home of her daughter, Mrs A. J. Paul as noted in last weeks issue of the Chronicle, was buried from the Methodist Episcopal Church, at 2:30 o'clock on Friday afternoon, Rev. F. F. Travis preaching the funeral discourse.
      Interment took place in the Odebolt Cemetary by the side of the husband who was laid to rest there but a few months ago.
      Mrs. Sheldon has been an invalid for several months, having failed rapidly since the death of Mr. Sheldon on February 2, in Texhoma, Okla. Mrs. Sheldon returned there after his death but was taken seriously ill. As soon as she was able she was brought to Odebolt to make her home with her daughters. She arrive here May 15,but was very frail and has been confined to her bed since that time. All the loving hands could do was done to relieve her suffering through but little could be done and her death came as a blessed relief.
      Nettie E. Coquillette was born near Franklinville, Ill. March 2, 1853. When a small child she went with her parents to linn county, this state, (Iowa) where she grew to womanhood and on December 4, 1872, she was united in marriage with Charles F Shelden. They moved to Sac county, five miles south of Odebolt in 1877, residing there for 24 years. In 1900 the moved to Oklahoma, living there for six years at Tex-homa which place has since been the home.
      Mrs. Shelden was the mother of ten children, three of whom - Arthur, Mark, Gladys - Passed away in Childhood.
      Those left to mourn are Raymond C of Lake Park, Mrs. Edith Paul and Mrs Will Story of Odebolt, James E. of Texhoma, Wayne, Harley and Claire of Estalene, Colo. She also leaves 22 grandchildren, an aged mother of 90 years, one sister and two brother.
      She united with the church in her youth and has lived a faithful, consistent Christian life. The family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in this bereavement. Raymond and family of Lake Park and a niece of the deceased, Mrs G Laemer of Dakota City, Nebr., were the relatives here from a distance to attend the funeral. Claire came here with his mother and was with her during her illness.
