- <p>Eleanor Mabel Landgraf was born July 31, 1927 in Tracy, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Goreham) Landgraf.<br /><br />In her youth, Eleanor was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith<br /><br />She graduated from high school in Sulphur Springs, Iowa. Eleanor continued her education in Fort Dodge at nursing school where she became a Registered Nurse.<br /><br />On September 27, 1949, Eleanor was united in marriage to Joseph “Punk” Haselhoff at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Together they were blessed with four children: Marcella, John, Ed, and Alice.<br /><br />Eleanor began working as a nurse at Porath Hospital in Storm Lake. She later worked at the Alta Hospital until its closing.<br /><br />Eleanor was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Schaller where she served on the Altar Society. <br /><br />In her spare time, Eleanor enjoyed crocheting and reading. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and friend to many.<br /><br />Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Marcella (Dennis) Brabec of Laurens, Iowa; John (Marcia) Haselhoff of Schaller, Iowa; Ed Haselhoff of Schaller, Iowa; Alice (Jerry) May of Humboldt, Iowa; grandchildren: Kelli (Jason) Book, Mark (Joleen) Haselhoff, Emily (Stephen) Prather; great-grandchildren: Kendal and Jaxson Book; extended family and friends.<br /><br />Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; sisters: Marian (Raymond) Jansen, Jean Landgraf, Jackie Landgraf; grandson, Brian Brabec; brothers-in-law: Leo (Leone) Haselhoff, Arnold (Millie) Haselhoff; George (Martha Marie) Haselhoff, and sister-in-law, Marcella Wolff.</p>
