She married Steven Nielsen on April 13, 1969, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Audubon.</p> </div> <div class="subscriber-only" style="box-sizing: border-box; caret-color: #333333; color: #333333; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"> <p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 24px; color: #444444; font-size: 20px; line-height: 28px; font-family: Yrsa, serif;">Ann graduated from Audubon High School in 1966, attended Drake University and then the University of Iowa, graduating in 1970 with her bachelor of arts degree in teaching. She taught English and drama at Muscatine Public School. She and her husband opened Steve’s Uptown Gas in Stuart, and she also worked at the Stuart newspaper, taught English and drama at Audubon, Elk Horn, and Exira public schools, worked at Skelnar Publishing in Audubon and for the Audubon Chamber of Commerce, then for the Chamber of Commerce in Marshall, Minn. She was director of the Waverly Chamber of Commerce, and in 1993 Ann became a Realtor and co-owner of Keystone Home builders. Visitation will be today, Aug. 7, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly where the family will greet friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Ann will then be cremated, before the memorial service.</p> </div>
