The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Music will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir. Gift Bearers will be Steve and Tara Scanlan. Casket Bearers will be: Josh Scanlan, Shawn Scanlan, Jordan Scanlan, Lance Drey, Mark Drey, and Paul Drey. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery at Early, Iowa at 2 p.m. on Monday. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Early, and later graduated from Briar Cliff College with her teaching certificate. Over the years Theresa was a dedicated homemaker. Later, she worked for St. Anthony Hospital where she retired, and then continued to volunteer. She enjoyed crafts, needlework, cooking, baking, and playing bingo. Theresa was a member of the St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary, and Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll.<br style="box-sizing: content-box;" /><br style="box-sizing: content-box;" />Left to celebrate Theresa’s life include her children: Mike Scanlan of Carroll, Dave Scanlan and his wife Gay of Abilene, KS, and Steve Scanlan and his wife Tara of Ft. Dodge; seven grandchildren: Josh, Shawn, Jordan, Leah, Hunter, Bennett, and Quinten; her siblings: George (Lois) Drey of Iowa, Ray (Sue) Drey of Iowa, Ron (Joyce) Drey of Iowa, Dick (Katie) Drey of Iowa, Peg (Paul) Howart of Nebraska, and Randy (Deb) Drey of Iowa; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended realatives.<br style="box-sizing: content-box;" /><br style="box-sizing: content-box;" />Theresa was preceded in death by her parents: Alvin and Matilda Drey.</div> </div>
